I started borrowing my brother's Yashica SLR camera 30+ years ago, shooting landscapes on my trips out west to Colorado and Wyoming. I bought my first camera, a Minolta SLR a few years later. In the past 10-15 years, I have taken my hobby much more seriously and tried to actually learn about photography and how to use all those dang buttons and knobs on the camera. LOL! The internet and digital SLRs have had a profound effect on my photography.
I live in Saint Charles, Mo. on the outskirts of St. Louis. I still love the mountain west and try to make at least one trip out there every year. I have two books on Blurb: Yellowstone Through my Lens and 79 Eagles.. You can view and purchase them at http://www.blurb.com/user/store/stevesfotos
